MANHATTAN AGAIN

Mom in Times Square
at daytime.
Mom at the front of
Christine's office, PTS America.
Christine and I in
PTS America's showroom.
Christine wanted us
to join our other friends for lunch in Korea Town.
Us at Dae Dong, the
Korean place I used to go to quite often.
Left hand side: Ben,
Karen and Chao. Me and Christine on the opposite side.
Ben with his oh-so-tiny
OPTIO camera that can fit into an Altoid case.

On ground zero, where
9/11 took place. Its surrounding gate has turned
into a huge commemoration
of the horrible event.

TO NEW BRUNSWICK,
NJ: ANTHONY JAMES EDISON'S RESIDENCE

This is the day when
I visited Anthony's town, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
This is the pic of
the train platform across from me.
Me in front of the
town's signature ice cream parlor, Thomas Sweet.
Bossu, the man himself
standing tall.
Bossu and his dear
mother.
Me and Bossu.
Before we had to his
house, we had lunch together and a grand tour
of his town. We had
fun reminiscing on the past... watching a few episodes
of PLANETES. One surprise
he dug for me was this rolling-action Streets of
Rage-like video game
he downloaded from God knows where.
And what surprised
me more was the characters were all from King of Fighters.
Even the stages were
literally taken out of Streets of Rage.
This was a clever
spoof of SoR with a crossover of KOF characters.
I had fun kicking
K dashes ass haha! Thanks a lot for everything Bossu!
So sorry time didn't
permit to visit you again for the second time!

MANHATTAN

Anna and Christine
at the back entrance of Pearl Paint, THE art supply
store we used to go
to a lot when we were still in Parsons.
Me in the mid of the
art supply aisles in Pearl Paint.
Bristol pads and all!!
Peggy in her office
in Penguin Books.
Such an awesome office
she has for sure!!
Me and Tin Tin in
Peggy's office.
Me, Peggy, Mom and
Christine on Bowery St in Chinatown.
Mom in Grand Central
Station Market.
Some of the food they
sell in Grand Market Grand Central Station.
Think those are the
hand-held size pizzas. Yu~~mmy!!
Kinokuniya in Manhattan
near Rockefeller Plaza.
Another spot I used
to go to quite often, not everyday though :P
Mom in Rockefeller
Plaza's garden.
Me in front of the
gate of Washington Square Park.
The park is located
within New York University campus.
Mom in the neighbourhood
around Washington Square Park.
The houses in this
area just reminded me of houses in Boston.
These are the good
old folks from my apartment.
Steve, me and .....
mmm I just can't remember his name (Osvaldo?).
I think Steve looks
very similar to Harrison Ford.
Mom standing across
from Macy's, a big department store.
It is here when I
experienced the mean treatments from the TOILET NAZI,
in the 2nd floor ladies'
room let me mind you.
When the long line
got outta control, the TOILET NAZI to the rescue!
She would scream on
the top of her lungs in order to direct them ladies
to the next available
place to release themselves. It is just hillarious
seeing this bigger-than-life
lady acting like hitler, in a toilet -__-;;
So out of place!
Me inside of H&M munching
down on a chocolate doughnut
from Dunkin Donuts.
You can't find these doughnuts here in Indo T_T
Dinner at Overseas
Asian with friends from Parsons' CD department.
Terrence, Bryan, Kerry,
Khoo and her coworkers were there.
The day I visited
Sun in her apartment along with Anna.
Gonna tag along with
Peggy and her friends to a new karaoke spot.
But now we are inside
a diner close to Sun's apartment building.
Left to right: Rob,
Sun and Anna.
Our first encounter
with Anna's housemate, Kohei.
In front of the diner.

Left to right: Anna, Sun, Rob and Kohei.
After this we were heading to Duet Karaoke Box.
Me and Sun singing together. She was so nice to dedicate some songs
for me XD XD!!! This is where Peggy and I decided to sing a classic super
cheesy Indonesian pop tune called "Madu dan Racun" (Honey & Poison).
Many hummed along with no idea what the song was all about.
Rob in action.
That night we all tagged along with Peggy to this Indonesian Restaurant
in Elmhurst, Queens. But the place above was closed when we arrived,
so we went to another Indo restaurant next to it called 'Minang Asri.'
Thanks to Peggy we all had a great authentic Indonesian dinner.
Even mom was satisfied with their dishes, so that is a good sign this
place was worth going to. Hopefully my friends, who have never
had Indonesian cuisine, could enjoy their first Indo dishes.
*sigh* If only they could have this place in Manhattan, I'd be so happy.
